Spellit is a specialist speech, language and literacy practice that operates in the North London area. Vicki Selwyn-Barnett is the founder and director of Spellit which opened in May 2000.
Vicki is now based in Australia and is the proprietor of The Language Tree in Sydney (www.thelanguagetree.com.au) however she still maintains strong links with the team at her Spellit Practice.
Since it was established in May 2000 Spellit has achieved astounding results, delivering expert tuition to children aged from two years old right through to A level studies. The innovative methods used, and the high standard of care and teaching at Spellit have lead to its impressive reputation for overcoming a variety of learning difficulties. Most commonly learning difficulties include reading problems, memory problems, ADD and language difficulties. Spellit offers specific teaching methods to resolve reading, spelling and memory problems. The Spellit Practice couples expert one to one tuition and teaching in a caring and supportive learning environment. The Spalding Method™ used at Spellit is similar to Jolly Phonics and Synthetic Phonics, yet it offers a more comprehensive approach through its multi-sensory learning program.
